Parts of Arsikere, Hassan and Channarayapatna taluks of Hassan district recorded more than 100 mm rainfall, here on Friday.
According to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Cell, rainfall was fairly widespread in the said taluks. Maximum rainfall in the region was recorded in Channarayapatna taluk, which recorded 141 mm rainfall till 8.30 pm.
Parts of Arsikere and Hassan taluks received 121 mm and 104 mm rainfall respectively. In other parts of Hassan district, Sakelshpur taluk recorded 60.5 mm, Holenarsipur taluk- 62.5 mm, Belur taluk-50 mm and Alur taluk-44 mm rainfall during the day.
Mysuru district too recorded widespread rainfall, with parts of Mysuru taluk recording 61.5 mm rainfall. In other parts of the district, Hunsur taluk received 61 mm, K R Nagar 41.5 mm, Nanjangud 35.5 mm and Periyapatna taluk receiving 29 mm rainfall.
Rainfall was fairly widespread inChamarajanagar district too. Maximum rainfall in the district was recorded at Santemarahalli in Chamarajanagar taluk, with 60 mm rainfall.
Compared to other districts, rainfall though widespread, was relatively less in Mandya district. Maximum rainfall in the district was recorded in K R Pet taluk at 41.4 mm.
