MANGALORE: Karike in Madikere
taluk of Kodagu district recorded
maximum rainfall of 142mm in
Karnataka in last 24-hours up to
8.30am on Wednesday. Raichur
hobli in Raichur taluk in Raichur
district recorded maximum
temperature of 33.9°C on June 26 at
3.15pm. Madikeri hobli in Madikeri
taluk of Kodagu district recorded
lowest minimum temperature of
17.5°C on June 27 at 8am, VS

Bangalore said.
More than 90% relative humidity
has been recorded in 49.7%
geographical area in the state. Less
than 25% of relative humidity has
been recorded in 0% geographical
area in the state. Rainfall over the
state is considered scattered since
48% of hoblis and GPs recorded
rainfall greater than or equal to
2.5mm. Rainfall was widespread in
seven districts; fairly widespread
over five; scattered in 11 districts;
and isolated in seven districts.
Very heavy rain was reported in
one district; heavy rain in five;
rather heavy rain in two districts;
moderate rain in 18 districts; and
light rain in four districts. South-
west monsoon was active in one
district; normal in 25 districts and
weak in four districts. Widespread,
moderate to very heavy rain was
received in Kodagu, Udupi,
Shimoga, Dakshina Kananda,
Davangere, Haveri, and Uttara
Kannada districts.
Fairly widespread, moderate rain
received in Bangalore rural,
Hassan, Mandya, Chikmagalur and
Mysore districts. Scattered, light to
moderate Rain received in Bellary,
Chamarajanagar, Ramanagar,
Belgaum, Dharwad, Chitradurga,
Bangalore urban, Tumkur, Gadag,
Bagalkote, and Kolar districts.
Isolated, light to rather heavy rain
received in Chikkaballapur, Koppal,
Gulbarga, Yadgir, Bidar, Bijapur
and Raichur districts. Dry weather
condition prevailed in remaining
parts of the state.
Karnataka for the period June 21 to
June 27 recorded surplus rainfall of
9%. Against normal weighted
average rainfall of 52.1mm in
south-interior, north-interior,
malnad and coastal parts, state
recorded rainfall of 55.9mm. For
24-hours period ending 8.30am on
June 27, four geographical regions
received 8.2mm actual weighted
average rainfall against normal
weighted average rainfall of
8.1mm, a 1% surplus departure
from normal.
